Agatha graduated from the University of Malaya with B.A. (Hons) in Anthropology & Sociology in 1984 and from the Australian National University, Canberra with LL.B. in 1987. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia in 1988. She was also admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1989.

Agatha commenced practice as a legal assistant with Messrs Ken Johnston Bedford & Co. in Canberra in September 1988 and subsequently practised with Messrs Holding Redlich & Co. in Melbourne. She returned to Malaysia in 1990 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in August 1990.

Ms Foo’s forte is in conveyancing - she handles a wide variety of conveyancing matters particularly in relation to transactions involving land deals, joint venture agreements and agreements for housing and commercial projects.

She is also experienced in advising and drawing up loan documentation for bridging loans, mortgage loans and other financial packages and in negotiating and drafting various business contracts involving partnership, sole distributorship, agency, manufacturing and sales agreements.

Agatha has served as a member of the Bar Council’s Human Rights Committee between 1998 and 2003 and the Management Committee of the Bar Council Legal Aid Centre, Penang since 2009 to date. She has also served as a member of the Investigating Tribunal of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board since 2003.
